Ryback- an NBA staff writer – and Michael Rosenberg –an experienced Sports Illustrated senior writer– passionately explore the advantages and disadvantages generated by the increased use of instant replay representing the fans.

Austin Ryback’s article, How Expanded Instant Replay Has Hurt The NBA, published by The Sports Quotient, argues that the increased use of instant replay had a negative effect on professional sports. He proves, this is due to the fact that it increases the implausibility of players and referees through advancing the judgment factor and lack of consistency within the league. Michael Rosenberg’s article, Replay Revolution: How to Remove Human Error from Officiating, published by Sports Illustrated grapples to inescapably claim that the advancement of instant replay is beneficial to professional sports. He validates his argument by claiming that instant replay will increase and maximize the honesty in sport officiating by eliminating the human element, removing judgment calls and by bettering how people view, play, and prepare for games.
