About Jarena Harmon
Hey! My name is Jarena Harmon. I am a member of the 2019 class at the University of Maryland. I am a Hearing and Speech Science major. At the university, I am a student-athlete, participating on the Women's Soccer team. This website has been designed to accompany a series of papers that make up the English 101 final project. This subject came to me as a sports enthusiast and technologically aware citizen of the world.
Why This Topic?
Topic of instant replay was perfect for my interest in professional athletics and technologies. As an athlete myself, I can attest to the effects that instant replay can have on any athletic event. In addition to all the amazing things instant replay has done, I developed a desire to investigate what people would like for instant replay and its partnering technologies for the athletic community. After researching this topic I have come to the realization that professional athletics are not using instant replay in the most beneficial way.
